“What I longed for was a single square of chocolate.” 🖤

What a harrowing and unimaginably difficult experience! I found a huge disconnect between the beginning of the book and the part of the actual kidnapping- I found it a bit hard to be sympathetic initially but what Lindhout endured is beyond our imagination and she shares so intimately the trials she faced. No doubt that Lindhout is a brave and resilient woman and has endured more than any of us can probably fathom. For her grit and survival and ability to share those experiences , I applaud her. I’m also very interested in Nigel’s side of the story, knowing they no longer speak. Another great with the crew! Love discussing with you guys 🖤

  1. I definitely also had moments of “what where you thinking??” But her ultimate survival and resilience is just amazing!
