The forecasts have been fulfilled and with the celebration of Google I / O, the American multinational has finally released the first official beta of Android 12. After three previous versions for developers limited to very few models, the system is now open to more manufacturers although not all its models are included in the program.
In addition to the Google Pixels that were already automatically attached to the previous versions for developers, we now see how the list of manufacturers with compatible models increases. We see the list arrive at heavyweights like Xiaomi and OPPO, in addition to ASUS, ZTE, OnePlus or Realme models, as well as many others.
Mobile phones compatible with the Android beta
Although it will not take long to learn more models that have not been announced for the moment, the truth is that appearing in the Android 12 beta program automatically guarantees that the included models will have the operating system once the final version is released around a month of August. The previous versions for developers have arrived divided into three parts, and now it is the turn for the beta phase, more open than the previous one.
Logically, Google’s own models already included in these versions for developers appear among the models compatible with the beta. These models are as follows:
- Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL
- Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL
- Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL
- Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G
- Pixel 5
But we are in the beta phase and that means that the number of brands is expanding, as well as the number of models, and from the Google website to inform about how to install the beta we already have the list of phones that are incorporated into this phase of evidence in the first instance. They are as follows:
- ASUS Zenfone 8
- OPPO Find X3 Pro
- TCL 20 Pro 5G
- I live iQOO 7Legend
- Xiaomi Mi 11
- Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
- Xiaomi Mi 11I
- Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro
- ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G
- OnePlus not determined
- Real me undetermined
- Sharp undetermined
- Undetermined Tech
If all goes according to plan, the Android 12 betas should be released as follows and in the following terms, starting with the first beta of all that is available from today, May 18.
- In May we had the first beta.
- In June we will have the second beta.
- In July we will have the third beta.
- And in August we will have the latest beta.
- Also in August, Google should release the candidate version.
- And in the same month, August, we will have the final version.
We will update the list of phones as more models added to this first beta or subsequent ones are announced, as we still have brands that have not specified specific models, such as OnePlus, Realme, Sharp and Tecno.
