This was so scary!! I needed to read it in broad daylight with lots of noise around me. It’s a thriller and it does its job well. I think Sager is so good at setting the mood and he picks really atmospheric settings for his stories. A creepy apartment building in New York is the setting for this book and true to form, there are secrets and reasons why this building has a creepy history and reputation. I loved the twists and turns this book had but I just didn’t buy in 100% that Jules, the main character, would ignore all the scary signs and stay at this job no matter how desperate she was. Other than that, I found it to be a page turner. I can totally see this as a movie! I read this waaaay after the group finished because I could only read it under the ideal circumstances 🤣💓

  1. I liked this one but I didn’t love the idea of what the people were doing in the book. Do you think that kind of thing really happens?
