Beautifully written book that deserves all of the accolades it has received. It’s very atmospheric and vivid and I felt transported to the setting and felt protective of both Marie-Laure and Werner. But I wanted more of an intersecting storyline, I think. It felt like I waited and waited for their stories to connect and when it did, I felt a bit underwhelmed. I did so love the relationship between Marie-Laure and her father, my favorite part of this intricate book. 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me! Thanks to readwithtoni for getting a group together to read this book that had been sitting on my shelf way too long ! 💙

Knocking out backlist left and right! 🙌🏼 I enjoyed this one as well, I did the same as you and switched between reading and listening 🙂
I remember thinking the same thing myself when I read this book.
I loved this book!
Loved this book so much but I can see what you mean by being underwhelmed about their relationship.
Your review is exactly the same as mine!! I said I just kept waiting for this big climax and it never really happened. Which was frustrating for such a slow moving book. I think I gave it 3
Yes, omg. I remember reading this book and hugging it after I finished.
