Skinny Special Sauce is your key to the best darn copycat In-N-Out burgers at home! Swipe to see my sauce (on the left) compared to the real In-N-Out stuff on the right. Nearly identical!
This sauce is just magic. As a SoCal In-N-Out snob who grew up on this stuff, let me just put it out there that special sauce is NOT Thousand Island dressing. Are they in the same family? Yes. But special sauce has a different combo of spices and some extra tang from mustard that puts it over the top. This is also quite similar to Big Mac sauce, so you could make a copycat of that with this sauce. I mean, Thousand Island is delicious, but it’s just not special sauce and I will 100% fight you on this topic for hours 🤣🤣. (Btw, Ed dwardcooks has a fabulous light Thousand Island dressing recipe on his blog if you’re in the mood for that!)
At 15 calories per tablespoon, feel free to slap this stuff on just about everything: sandwiches, fries, my “Fried” Chicken Sandwiches, chicken nuggets… or be a weirdo and put it on some lettuce, I guess 🤣? Jk, this a fabulous dressing when thinned out with some milk!
