My New Year’s present to you is this divine French Dip recipe! Some of you are embarking on a new wellness journey in the coming days, and others are restarting after the holidays. This is a just a friendly reminder that getting on track doesn’t have to mean bland chicken breasts and steamed vegetables. With a little bit of planning and balance, you can still eat the food you love!

And I am currently in love with this sandwich! You make the beef/au jus combo in your slow cooker or instant pot, so it’s a super easy meal to throw together. And perfect for these cold days! Tender beef and gravy that is pretty much drinkable.

The meat/jus is only 2 SP for a generous 1/2 cup of meat and 1/3 cup of au jus. You could easily cut those portions back to make it 1 SP per serving. The rest of the points are up to you! I splurge on a French roll and 1/4 cup mozzarella, bring the sandwich to 10 SP on all plans and 340 calories. Not bad considering that most French Dips are anywhere from 16 to 25 points!

  1. This is amazing. I made it last night and put it on mashed potatoes. I can not believe how flavorful the au jus is. My son had it tonight on French baguette with provolone cheese and when he tasted it, he couldn’t believe it. You knocked this one out of the park, Geri!!❀️❀️

  2. Made this tonight and it’s soooooo good!! My house smelled amazing all day and the taste totally lived up to the yummy smell.

  3. Plan on making this over the weekend but I have a question. In the photos in the blog, it looks like there’s a pepper in the crockpot while it cooks but I didn’t notice one in the actual recipe. Did I miss something? Can’t wait to try it!!

  4. Bravo to this recipe! My meat loving teenage boys and husband loved this one. Thanks for this recipe πŸ’₯

  5. Has anyone gotten this to track as the 2 points the recipe says it is? The two and a half pounds of beef comes out so high in points that when I track the recipe it is coming out to 7 points per serving.

  6. I made this tonight and my whole family LOVED it! It is rare that I please everyone, so thank you for sharing!
