Ahh, the curse of book 2 in a trilogy! I loved Discovery of Witches soooo much and recommended it to so many people who also loved it and went on to finish the trilogy but I got stuck here in book 2 for a long time!! I put it down once and gave it a long break, even returning it to the library once before I tried again. And I have to say, while I did enjoy parts of it, this book was way more history and way less relationship (which is what I found I loved about this series). There are a lot of characters in this book and most of them I really didn’t care about. I will definitely finish out this series but will have low expectations for book 3! To be totally fair, some of my buddies loved book 2 because of the historical aspects so you may too but it just wasn’t my jam. 💜

I agree with you 100%. The only thing I can you tell you is that book 3 is pretty good ❤️👍🏻
That is so true about book two in trilogies!!! I really want to read Discovery of Witches. ❤️
I just ordered book 1 of this and I’m excited! I just started reading my first fantasy series (ACOTAR) and I’m liking it so far!
Book 3 is a different animal. She stated she wanted to do it more as sci fi. It’s a bit all over the map, but there are some bits I really enjoyed in the third one.
Ah that’s a shame; I personally loved book 2 (it’s probably my favourite)… but like you say I love history.
I loved them all! Book 3 was incredible though. At least for me. Hope you enjoy the third whenever you get to it!
