“I’m just somehow magically transported to his place and there I sit in his favorite chair with a cup of strong coffee in my hands.” ❤️

Phenomenal. By the first few pages, I already knew this was going to be a 5 star read and it did not disappoint. What an amazing debut by Catherine Adel West. She weaves together a story about family, friendship and secrets that demonstrates how generational trauma can manifest and linger through the years. There was a moment where I gasped out loud and so many passages that moved me. I loved the setting of the South side of Chicago – a place not too far from where I lived in the southwest suburbs of Chicago but at the same time a world of experience away. I can’t wait to devour whatever cawest329 writes next! This is the bibliolifestyle book club pick this month and a great book to discuss! ❤️
