“I’d love both the coffee and a scone.” 💚

Loved reuniting with Maddie from the Wedding Party and meeting her mom, Vivian. I also loved that it showed romance with characters in their 50s and the location in England was super atmospheric and cozy – I could imagine myself there! However, this had the least level of steamy relations in this book which was disappointing because I wanted representation to go beyond the romance but to show that people in their 50s can have hot and heavy sex too! I felt like this book was rushed to get it out in time for the holidays because her series is so popular. I hope Guillory’s next book gets more time to marinate. I really enjoy the diversity in the cast of this series and will still continue to read even if this one wasn’t my favorite. I’ve gifted Guillory’s books the most this holiday season because I think they can appeal to so many different people! 💚
