“Her caramel brownies became the talk of the marquee.” 💙

Perfectly delightful holiday read! I love a good romance read during the holiday season and this one fit the bill. It’s set in a little town called Blexford in the UK and the small town setting just works for all the cozy feels. Quite early, you know where this is headed (it’s a feel good romance, after all) but the journey is definitely more the point than the destination. Kate goes on 12 dates and anyone who has gone through online dating knows that SO much can happen! And it does! Luckily she has a best friend by her side, her loving dad and an old childhood friend who has quips galore for her dating adventures. This book definitely got me into the holiday spirit and a lot of the book centers around a cafe so there are hot drinks and baked goods galore, as Kate also bakes casually for that cafe. A great book to gift with some baked goods and a mug with hot cocoa! Read along with the thechicklitbookclub group and drooled over baked goods together 😋

  1. Oh Wow! Look at those brownies!! They look fabulous! I am so delighted that you enjoyed The Twelve Dates of Christmas 😍 Thank you for writing such a wonderful review. You have perfectly encapsulated how I approached writing it “the journey is definitely more the point than the destination” That’s exactly it, I literally couldn’t have said it better myself 🥰 🎄🥰
