“He admitted – sheepishly- that he’d been bitten by a cat the day before. It had been in some woman’s lap in the bakery where he was getting a scone and a cup of coffee.” ❤️

This book was released yesterday and it feels super timely as the world is battling COVID-19 at the moment. In a much darker scenario, this book made me think about bioterrorism and how plagues could have a devastating impact on society. The book begins with Alexis and Austin on a trip to Vietnam as a newly dating couple. Austin doesn’t come back from a solitary bike ride and it sets off a series of events to find out what happened to Austin. It becomes a maze of global players, moving between Vietnam and America. This is so well written and clearly well researched. There were a few parts that I could not fully buy into but for spoiler reasons I won’t share them here! 😁 It is definitely a thriller though, lots of heart-pounding moments in this one. Thanks to jordys.book.club bostonbookfanatic mystery.book.club doubledaybooks for giving me the opportunity to join the fun in the ! I loved it!!! ❤️
