“‘Fries and hot fudge sundaes. They’d send me out to McDonald’s.’” ❤️

4.5 stars! I was expecting a light, breezy contemporary romance and there is definitely romance here but man, it was a lot more! The characters were so well developed which was a great surprise and the storyline had me hooked. It tackled a lot of weighty issues but in a very realistic and therefore messy way. Kinda like life! I will say for more than half this book, I was like “uh, you’re so cool and confident so just TELL him your medical issue!” but I find that happens a lot in romance books, I think to create tension. But once I got past that, the story ramped up with a lot of the side characters and I was completely absorbed. This book had me in tears and I ended up caring for these characters. I can’t wait for the next book by Jimenez that she actually wrote BEFORE this one!! ❤️

I like romances when they have depth! Adding it to my TBR!
Just finished it. We’re on the same page again!
I loved it 🥰
Romance is one of my least favorite genres but I would like to get out of my comfort zone in 2020 and give them a chance.
