France will create a World Health Academy: training against ‘fake news’

Emmanuel Macron has announced “a world reference training structure” at the 74th annual meeting of the WHO.

France announced this Monday the creation of the World Health Academy, a new institution dedicated to the training of public officials, civil society and essential personnel in cases of pandemics in order to fight against disinformation, one of the factors that has harmed the fight against Covid-19 the most.

By participating in the inauguration of the 74th annual assembly of the World Health Organization (WHO), the French president, Emmanuel Macron, has said that his country will contribute 120 million euros for the start-up of this Academy, with the aim that it becomes “a training structure of world reference”.
