At today’s BMW Group Annual Conference, the new BMW i4 was unveiled. “With its sporty looks, best-in-class driving dynamics and zero local emissions, the BMW i4 is a true BMW. It makes the heart of the BMW brand now fully electric,” said Pieter Nota, member of the Board of Management. of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands, Sales.
The BMW i4 is a fully electric 4-door Gran Coupe and will arrive on the market during the course of 2021, including a BMW M Performance model. Its refined balance of typical BMW sportiness, comfort and sustainable performance are unique in its segment.
The new BMW i4 supposes the exclusively battery-powered alternative of the Series 4 range, largely respecting the design of the body, but adding a series of elements and features typical of the BMW i family. As is the case of the various moldings with blue touches that we can find in some areas of the vehicle or the attractive aerodynamic wheels.
It arrives with 530 hp and 600 km of autonomy
The BMW i4 range will be available in different versions with a range of up to 590km (WLTP). It is still to be confirmed, but some specialized media suggest that the battery could have a capacity of 80 kWh. With a power of up to 390kW / 530CV, the BMW i4 It can accelerate to 100 km / h from a standstill in about 4 seconds. These benefits are comparable to those offered by the current combustion models of the firm equipped with V8 engines.
