A smart, dark “mystery” with a lot of social commentary mixed in. I read someone describing the protagonist as an anti-heroine and I would agree with that term! This book gave me The Door vibes by Magda Sazbo which was translated from Hungarian. It also gave me a lot of Prodigal Summer vibes with its focus on nature and animals. I loved the nicknames she would give townspeople and neighbors. To be honest, I’m not sure about the whole astrology tie-in and could have done without it. It was a slower paced book and the ending was hardly surprising but it’s written well and worth a read. Thanks christine_queenofbooks for pulling together a group to this!💙

❤️❤️ very glad you didn’t hate it 😉
I just love the title. 😄
I bought this book recently along with her other book – Flights. I haven’t seen much discussion about this book here on bookstagram, so thanks for your review. Glad you liked it.
I’ve never heard of this one!
